What is Microblading ?
We create a beautiful, semi-permanent brow tattoo, using the delicate process of hand drawing small tattoo strokes to mimic natural hairs. The results leave you with defined or natural brows to enhance your unique face shape.
Also known as brow feathering or micro-blading, we achieve your desired look by implanting colour micro-pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of a tiny, sterile, disposable needle.
What is Solid Brow tattoo?
The Solid Brow tattooing process is similar to getting a tattoo. The Makeup Artist uses a hollow, vibrating needle, to apply the pigment into the top layer of the skin. Each time the needle penetrates the skin, a droplet of pigment is released into the hole the needle makes to produce the appearance of solid color or hair strokes.
As a fast-growing part of the health and beauty industry, permanent makeup can address an array of issue from purely cosmetic to reconstruction from injury or accidents. Take eyebrows for instance, if you have faint eyebrows, no eyebrows, or partial eyebrows, a cosmetic tattoo can help create a beautiful new brow.
For best results, we recommend the following:
- Stop using skin thinners (vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
- Do not consume alcohol, caffeine or blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish ou Niacin) 48 hours before your procedure, to avoid excess bleeding.
- Avoid sun/ tanning bed exposure for 30 days before and after your procedure. If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or a sunburn, you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit. As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it will take the tattoo pigment with it.
- Some cosmetic procedures should be completed prior to your brow tattoo:
Brow waxing/shaping (2 days in advance)
Brow tinting (1 week in advance)
Cosmetic botox/fillers (2 weeks in advance)
Can I have my brows microbladed if I’m pregnant? No you cannot have this treatment done, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Can I get tattooed if I am on Accutane?
We will not tattoo any one who is on Accutane as the medications places you at risk for hypersensitivity, scarring and hyper-pigmentation. Your skin needs 12 months to normalize prior to a tattoo.
Do have realistic expectations
If you have very sparse brows, build the look slowly rather than the nothing to all approach. The idea is for people to never notice your brows but your features to be enhanced. Microblading can be done slowly to build up a look you are comfortable with – single fine hair stroked are added to thicken and define.
Do not try to rush the process
It is quite natural to have the tendency to get it done as quickly as possible. But one must understand that it takes around 2-3 sessions and each of them last for around 2 hours. Let the technician take the time required. Have patience and let the experienced person do the work.
Side Effects :
Post Appointment Healing:
The full, deep healing process takes 4-6 weeks; however, your visible top layers of skin will heal after 2 weeks. Your brows will experience a few normal mild side effects (slight redness, itchiness and peeling), which clients compare to the feeling of a sunburn. During the procedure there may be some minor bleeding. This will depend on the client. If a person is taking blood thinners on a daily basis, then some slight bleeding may occur. Bruising is rare but if a person is on blood thinners, then bruising could occur. There is usually some tenderness for a few days.
Expect your tattoo to appear darker for the first 3-5 days. After day 4 or 5, light peeling will occur, revealing lighter and softer hair strokes.
